A passion rooted since childhood

Maëlle Martin is one of those riders whose career path seems preordained from the earliest years. Born in 1991 in Bourg-en-Bresse, she grew up in a family equestrian center, surrounded by parents who were riding instructors. From childhood, she was in contact with horses and discovered horse riding in all its richness: from classic gallops to competitions, including various disciplines such as pony games, horse ball, and TREC. This curiosity would shape her approach to the sport: open, demanding, and resolutely focused on versatility.

At 18, she joined the Saumur National Riding School to train as an instructor. Three and a half years of intense work during which she earned her instructor diploma, as well as a university degree in management. At the same time, she joined the PĂŽle France Jeunes in show jumping and competed in her first European Young Rider Championships with Nelson du Biolay, a horse with which she brilliantly distinguished herself under the French colors.

“It’s very hard, it’s very demanding, it’s the chosen profession, it’s even more than a profession, it’s necessarily, it’s a passion.”

A rider committed to time

Trained alongside the best, MaĂ«lle gained a wealth of experience, from the stables of HervĂ© Godignon in Île-de-France to the Chev'el stables in Toulouse, before settling in Normandy, where she is now developing her own stable. Her career path is marked by rigor, humility, and a strong commitment to a job well done, with the horse always at the center of the project.

Several mounts have contributed to his career, including Nelson du Biolay, Giovani de la Pomme and Bise des BardelliĂšres.

- 2012: European Young Riders Championships, she won team gold and individual bronze with Nelson du Biolay.
- 2016: 2nd place in the 5* Nations Cup in Lummen with Giovani de la Pomme.
- 2022: 1st place in the Nations Cup in Aalborg with Bise des BardelliĂšres.
- 2023: Bronze medal at the French Pro Elite Championships with Bise des BardelliĂšres.

A natural encounter, like something obvious

It was in 2016, at the CompiÚgne competition, that Maëlle first crossed paths with Dada Sport. Walking past the stand, she was immediately struck by the brand's universe: an elegant, contemporary aesthetic that breaks the mold while remaining deeply rooted in the DNA of sport.
She remembers thinking, almost instinctively, “Wow, this is exactly what I would like to wear on horseback.”
A few weeks later, fate acted on this impression. Caroline Boudier, founder of Dada Sport, contacted her to propose a partnership. An unexpected proposition, almost audacious at the time, but one that seemed obvious to both parties.
Since then, a relationship of trust has been forged, driven by shared values: high standards, boldness, and attention to detail. An encounter that, as is often the case, began with an intuition... and which continues to this day.
Added to this is a special nod: we named our best-selling pants in homage to Giovani de la Pomme.
